DCNR, PA Recreation & Park Society Hold 6 Workshops & 2 Webinars On Applying For 2018 Grants

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the PA Recreation and Park Society are partnering to host a series of 6 regional workshops across the state in November for groups interested in applying for grants to support recreation and land conservation projects.
The workshops will be held from 9:00 to Noon at these locations--
-- November 1: Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Giant Food Store Community Room;
-- November 8: Nanticoke, Luzerne County, Luzerne County Community College Educational Conference Center;
-- November 14: Clarion, Clarion County, Trinity Point Church of God;
-- November 15: Allison Park, Allegheny County, Hampton Township Community Center;
-- November 16: Blue Bell, Montgomery County, Montgomery County Community College, Central Campus; and
-- November 21: State College, Centre County, Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, Deans Hall 1.
The webinars will be held--
-- December 13: DCNR Grants for locally based Recreation, Conservation, Trail, and Riparian Buffer Projects (Planning, Development, and Acquisition projects, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and
-- January 11: DCNR’s Statewide and Regional Partnership Grant Program, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
These workshops will provide technical assistance to potential applicants on DCNR grants available for recreation, conservation, riparian buffer, trail, and community parks projects.
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with staff and receive information on grant program selection criteria, eligibility, and documents required for various types of applications.
Community leaders, municipal officials, consultants, board members, trail managers, land conservation professionals, and park and recreation professionals are encouraged to attend.
