Interns Wanted: Chesapeake Bay Foundation-PA Has 3 Intern Positions Open

The Pennsylvania office of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation currently has three summer internship opportunities.
The Agricultural Economist Intern will work with scientists, planners, lawyers, grassroots, and communications staff as part of CBF's Environmental Protection and Restoration Program.
This position will contribute to the efforts of the Pennsylvania State Office in restoring and protecting clean water in the Commonwealth through assessing the economic impacts of agricultural conservation practices.
Many conservation practices that improve water quality, such as no-till cultivation, cover crops, riparian buffers, and rotational grazing, also provide other benefits to the overall farm management.
The intern will compile and analyze research on impacts of conservation practices on farms' net profitability, considering factors such as labor needs, fuel consumption, nutrient purchases, herd health, and crop loss risks, for a variety of crop and livestock farms.
The Science Intern will assist the Pennsylvania Staff Scientist and Pennsylvania Agricultural Policy Analyst and other CBF staff with projects as needed. The Science Intern will report to the Pennsylvania Staff Scientist.
The GIS Intern will focus on regional clean water outreach initiatives in South Central Pennsylvania by working with, shadowing and learning from the CBF PA Staff on effectively, creatively and independently working with ArcGIS software, updating and maintaining ArcGIS databases and creating maps utilizing ArcGIS software.
Applications are due April 17. Details on how to apply are available on the CBF Internships webpage.
